China sent a text message today, believed to be from the Qingdao Ocean Development Bureau, warning fishermen that a UFO had been spotted in waters near Rizhao and that authorities were preparing to shoot it down. Chinese media reports have speculated that China may be responding to reports of suspected spy flights.

A local ocean development bureau in China today issued a text message warning fishermen that unidentified flying objects had been spotted in waters near Rizhao and were being prepared to shoot them down.

According to a report by China’s official Paper News on February 12, the Marine Development Bureau of Qingdao Jimo District responded to the message that “a UFO has been found in the waters near Rizhao and is preparing to shoot it down”, saying that the incident happened and that the specific UFO has not been notified yet, and that it has sent a text message to nearby fishermen to pay attention to safety.

Local fishing boats have been told to be vigilant and “avoid risks”, the South China Morning Post quoted the Marine Development Authority as saying.

An unidentified flying object was spotted in the sea near a northern Chinese port city near the Bohai Sea and local authorities said they were ready to shoot it down, the newspaper quoted mainland media as saying on Sunday.

Fishing boats were ordered to be alert and “take refuge,” the report said, without specifying when the message was sent or when the object was seen. “If debris falls around your boat, please take photos for identification,” the report asks. If conditions permit, help salvage it. ”

The South China Morning Post said the UFO sighting came as the People’s Liberation Army is conducting a week-long military exercise in the Bohai Strait, an area that connects the Bohai Sea to the north of the Yellow Sea. The drill began on Sunday, according to a notice issued by maritime safety authorities in Dalian, a port city in China’s northern Liaoning province.

The reported sightings of mysterious flying objects in the waters off northern China come as the United States and Canada reported sightings of at least three suspected spy objects. The United States has shot down three flying objects, including a surveillance balloon. China acknowledged the balloon belonged to it, but insisted it was a weather observation flight.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon said it shot down a second “high-altitude object” over Alaska on Friday, but provided no details about the object.

Then, on the orders of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, another “unidentified object” was shot down over Canada’s Yukon territory over the weekend.
