It’s been almost one month since the big explosion in Tianjin on August 12, 2015. The majority of residence owners with serious losses have still not received adequate accommodation by the local government. On the contrary they’ve been pressured by local government officials to sign a compensation agreement. On Friday-Saturday September 4-5, 2015, hundreds of residents of several developments went to the Tianjin Municipality Binhai New Residential Area government to collectively protest for several days. They oppose the government’s accommodation arrangement as unfair.

Netizens uploaded photos to the web, showing residents holding banners and posters saying: “Reveal the Truth, Return my Home,” and “Treat us Fairly, Return my Dignity.” They collectively protested for two days in front of the Binhai New Residential entrance. On the scene a large number of police stood guard.

On the morning of Saturday September 5, 2015, a few owners in the Binhai Residential Area Harbour City Development were arrested by the police. According to netizens reports, at 5 a.m there was another small explosion at the site of the August 12 blast, frightened neighboring flat owners.
