Activist Liu Yajie criminally detained

On the morning of Monday August 31, 2015, attorney Liu Zhengqing went to the Guangzhou Municipality Zengqeng District Yongxin Police Station to inquire about the whereabouts of Liu Yajie. He learned that Liu Yajie had already been criminally detained on suspicion of the crime of picking quarrels and provoking trouble. He’s presently locked up in the Zengqeng City Detention Center. Attorney Liu Zhengqing’s meeting was aborted.

At noon on Friday August 28, 2015, Liu Yajie and the Southern Boss, 1.3 Billion, Huang Xi et al.—altogether four people—were taken to the Guangzhou Municipality Zengqeng District Yongxin Police Station and then disappeared. The four people may have been detained because of t-shirts they were wearing showing support for Attorney Wang Yu. At present the whereabouts of the other three is still unkown.
