China’s State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) recently sent notices to seven license holders demanding they cease illegal broadcasts and violations of Internet television regulations. If they don’t, their right to broadcast will be revoked.

This clean-up focuses on the following violations:

-Use of USB port installation applications;

-Accessing Internet browser on the system;

-Adopt app shop or other method of delivering aggregation software, video site client application software broadcasting on radio;

-Through app store or other means, delivery through mobile phone applications or video remote control applications.

Analysts point out that if the news proves to be true, the present majority of Internet television and box products will be integrated.

It’s understood that if license holders don’t obey, they would be disciplined. If all seven are in violation, then Internet television service will be suspended.
