(BOXUN) On Saturday, June 27, 2015, the Liping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Zhaoxing Dong ethnic minority Township government mobilized city management police to forcibly demolish villagers’ homes. The local government rapidly mustered hundreds of police to enter the township. This resulted in a violent conflict between the two sides. Villagers armed with bricks and stones chased police and others carrying out the demolition. Villagers smashed and overturned more than 10 police vehicles.
