Villagers protest unfair compensation for land requisition, violently attacked by police

On Friday June 12, 2015, in New Spring, Guijing and Jiufeng Villages, Three Forests Township, Pudong New District, Shanghai Municipality, hundreds of villagers dissatisfied with unfair compensation for land requisition collectively went to Three Forests government headquarters to demand their rights. Because no one received them, they blocked traffic in front of the government compound.

The villagers were violently attacked by a large number of police. During the conflict, many villagers were beaten, injured and arrested.
