The official Xinhua News Agency on Wednesday May 27, 2015 reported that, due to “disturbing work unit order and brazenly humiliating others” on Wednesday May 20, Wu Gan (online name “Super Vulgar Butcher”) was administratively detained in Jiangxi Province on the charge of “suspicion of involvement in picking quarrels and provoking troubles and the crime of slander.” On Wednesday May 27, 2015 he was criminally detained “according to law” by the Fujian Province Public Security organs. The Xinhua News Agency article said he was “wanted for arrest” and that there was an “offer of reward” for his incredible “performance art” inciting netizens to create so-called “reinforcement teams” and go to the scene to “show solidarity” and “surround and watch”…. Wu Gan targeted some leaders of party and government administrative units who were afraid to stir up trouble and feared psychological speculation. He carried out this “strike” to pressure the government. The article charges that Wu Gan “disregarded the truth, and spread rumors on the Internet.” Regarding the recent “Qing’an Incident,” Wu Gan wasn’t present at the scene but published the so-called “truth” online. He said that the dead man Xu Chunhe “this time went to the railway station to go to Beijing to petition.” He also said that local government and media “fabricated rumors that Xu Chunhe threw his daughter at the police, the truth is his daughter tried to defend her father and went to hug him and he put her to the side to prevent her being beaten.” http://www.boxun.com/news/gb/china/2015/05/201505280254.shtml
