Villager beaten and killed by Family Planning Bureau law enforcement official

(Monday May 11, 2015 Boxun report) On Friday May 8, 2015, at 10:40 a.m., Sheqi County, Nanyang City, Henan Province Family Planning Bureau official Liu Jun led 30-40 members of the Family Planning Bureau law enforcement team to Chengying Village, Chengguan Township in Sheqi County. The law enforcement team’s target was village head Yang Changming, who as a result of losing land had constructed a temporary metal cigarette vending stall at the village entrance (because the village is next to Red Flag Road, the government had built a nine-foot high barrier between the road and the villagers’ houses, this tobacco stand was behind the barrier). The enforcement team forcibly demolished the tobacco stand.

While Yang Changming was debating with the enforcement team, an enforcement team officer punched him and he fell to the ground. His head hit the street curb and he died on the spot. Eye-witnesses on the scene said the attacker was the planning bureau law enforcement team captain Liu Jun.
