Apartment owners protest and are violently attacked

In Runchi International Plaza, Shuangliu County, Chengdu Municipality, Sichuan Province, due to a real estate developer not honoring the terms of a contract regarding rental returns, on Wednesday morning May 6, 2015 more than 100 apartment owners went to the Shuangliu County government headquarters to protest. They were violently attacked by police and nine people were arrested. Prior to this, on April 23, 2015, these apartment owners had demonstrated at the Shuangliu County government headquarters but received no positive response from the government.
