Boxun’s correspondent was informed that at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015, China Democracy Party Zhejiang committee member Chen Kaipin was again summoned by the Hangzhou Domestic Security police for the crime of “subverting state power.” It’s the sixth time this year that police have ordered Chen to turn himself in for questioning.

Chen Kaipin is very perplexed. “Does the Hangzhou Domestic Security police have too much free time? Am I that important? Previously wasn’t it merely once a month? Now it’s three times per month, what confusion!”

It’s reported that in 2013 Chen Kaipin paid a visit to Taiwan in his capacity as a mainland China Democracy Party member and met with Taiwan political figures. He expressed the wish for peaceful dialogue between democratic parties on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, including “opposition parties.” He wants to relax the political situation between China and Taiwan and promote the welfare and goodwill of people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

After the 2014 arrest of Zhejiang Democratic Party members Lu Gengsong and Chen Shuqing, it was inevitable that Chen Kaipin would be targeted by the authorities. His home has been monitored by police 24 hours a day for more than four months.
