Boxun warned of spying, hack attack against it

Boxun received an anonymous email from a sender called “Disrespected American” warning that someone was spying on people involved with Boxun and planning a cyber attack, as well. Entitled “Hack attack on Boxun.com,” the contents are as follows:

“A Hong Kong businessman attempted to hire a American company January 3, 2015 to disable the boxun.com web site because a post about him was in a blog. He authorized the creation of a mirror web site with a link that would allow a computer specialist to take control of a person’s computer to search it for information about this businessman.

“A representative of this businessman arrived in New York from Hong Kong with instructions to place under surveillance American homes and offices identified by IP addresses. This representative provided names of Chinese nationals living in the US, passport numbers and other identification so an American investigation company could find them for this businessman.”
