Gunfire at government office kills one

A Boxun exclusive: On Sunday, January 18, 2015 between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., eyewitnesses at the Pingxiang municipal government headquarters in Guangxi Province saw one person with a gun exchange fire with a police officer. The gunman was shot dead and the policeman was injured.

According to reports, the Pingxiang municipality on the same day was the site of an attack by someone with a cleaver. People were injured, and it’s suspected to be a terrorist attack.

Boxun received an internal notification from the Pingxiang municipal government, but the notice did not include details of the shooting. Boxun issued this news in the hours before dawn, and has been unable to find any related news about the events.
