30 mainlanders still detained, interrogated and abused for supporting Hong Kong’s Occupy protests

As of Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, 30 mainland activists still were detained for supporting Hong Kong’s Occupy Central movement.

They include: Jiang Liuyong, Li Dongmei (female), Liu Huizhen (female), Han Ying (female), Xu Chongyang, Wang Zang, Zhang Miao (female), Zhu Yanguang, Zhui Hun, Li Yufeng (female), Yu Wensheng, Song Ze, Wang Long, Xie Wenfei, Wang Mo, Su Changlan (female), Tian Li, Chen Qichang, Wang Yonghong, Guo Yushan and He Zhengjun.  Most are from Beijing and a few are from Guangdong Province.

Those who have been criminally detained for more than 37 days and of whom there is no news are: Huang Kaiping, Kou Yanding (female), Ran Chongbi (female), Jiang Jiawen, Zhang Shengyu, Zhang Weishan (female), Xu Dong, Ji Sizun and Sun Feng. The whereabouts of some of these nine people is unknown.

Ye Xiaozheng has been criminally detained for fewer than 37 days.

Six cases already handed over to the procuratorate for prosecution: Wang Yonghong (case transferred to Beijing Daxing County Procuratorate), and Jiang Liuyong, Li Dongmei (female), Liu Huizhen (female), Han Ying (female), Xu Chongyang (cases transferred to Beijing’s Fengtai County Procuratorate).

Of these 30 people, only 14 have met with lawyers, including Guangdong Province’s Wang Long, Xie Wenfei, Wang Mo and Ye Xiaozheng, asa well as Beijing’s Han Ying, Li Yufeng, Zhang Miao, Wang Zang, Liu Huizhen, Song Ze, Zhui Hun, Wang Yonghong, He Zhengjun and Jiang Liuyong. None of the others have seen lawyers. If there are any more names than these please send corrections.

Beijing’s Song Ze has been interrogated until 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. dozens of times. Guangdong’s Xie Wenfei and Wang Mo are yelling slogans in the detention center, hunger striking, and protesting foot-shackling and forced feeding.
