Rights activist “Justice” formally arrested for “inciting subversion of state power.”

Boxun’s reporter has learned that on Wednesday January 7, 2015, the son of “Justice” (Chen Qitang) went to the Guicheng local police station of the Hainan Branch Office of the Foshan City, Guangdong Province Public Security Bureau to gather information, and was given a formal notice of arrest and a detailed list of the items related to the case.

The Hainan Branch Office arrest notice says that at 9 p.m. on December 31, 2014 the Foshan City, Hainan District people’s procuratorate approved Chen Qitang’s administrative detention on the grounds of “inciting subversion of state power.” He was first taken into custody at the Hainan District detention center.

Justice is a Foshan rights activist. He has been a long-time supporter of petitioners who’ve had their property demolished. He was first detained on November 25, 2014
