Hundreds of teachers strike in two Henan Province high schools

Lushi County, Sanmenxia City, Henan Province: On the morning of Monday, Jan. 5, 2014, hundreds of high school teachers went on strike. They marched to the county government headquarters to protest the government’s failure to pay higher wages. A large number of police were standing guard. The strike continued through the afternoon. The same day, because of the non-payment of salaries, teachers at Shangshui Number Four Middle School in Zhoukou City also protested.
