Beijing: On Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at about 10 a.m., seven police officers from  Harbin City in Heilongjiang Province –  Zhang Yajie, Liang Dacheng, Yu Lisheng, Wang Bingsheng, Sun Hongli, Yu Aimin and Huang Wei‚ – gathered across from the national headquarters of the Chinese Communist Party in Zhongnanhai  and displayed banners, one reading: “We’re risking our lives to admonish Chairman Xi and denounce justice system corruption.” After police dispersed them, they returned and drank poison to protest. They were then sent to the hospital.

Boxun’s reporter found one of the policemen, Liang Dagong. He said that a police vehicle sent them to Beijing Hospital.  Then he and one other protester were sent by ambulance to Beijing University’s People’s Hospital to receive emergency treatment. The other five stayed in Beijing Hospital. Liang Dagong said that now he is on the ground floor of People’s Hospital on an IV drip. He expects that all seven will be kept in the hospital under supervision.

(Zhongnanhai is a compound of government office buildings next to the Forbidden City. It’s heavily guarded, with no public access. This is where the country’s top officials work.)
