Hengyang City, Hunan Province:  Zhao Fengsheng, who has tried to organize farmers and aid migrant workers,  has been  sentenced to four years imprisonment for “inciting subversion of the state.”

Boxun’s reporter spoke to Zhao Fengsheng’s, wife Quan Haiyan, by cell phone, and she said her husband also is to be deprived of his political rights for three years. She said she and fewer than 10 friends attended the sentencing on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014. There was no attorney present. The whole sentencing hearing lasted approximately 30 minutes.

Quan Haiyan said that Zhao Fengsheng will certainly appeal the decision as he’s innocent of the crime.
