More than 1,000 apartment owners protest plans to force them out

Qiancao Township, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province: Local government wanted to requisition 3,000 apartments, but some of the owners thought the compensation offered was too low. On the morning of Saturday,Nov. 15, 2014, about 1,000 of them converged on a Qiancao Township intersection and blocked traffic for several hours. Some of them also went to the Luzhou municipal government headquarters to protest. The protest continued on Sunday, Nov. 16.
