A Beijing News reporter has revealed prostitution at the foot-care department of an on-campus hotel run by Wuchang Institute of Technology (WIT), in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Zhao Zhuobin,  president of WIT, also is chairman of the board of Guangxin Science and Education Group, which owns MIT and the Guangxin International Hotel.

Beginning last semester, a white signboard with “foot care” could be seen hanging outside the west side of the hotel, with an arrow pointing to the inside of the hotel’s entrance. The side door of the hotel, which used to be the school’s #2 cafeteria, can be accessed from the campus.

A reporter posing as a guest found that ¥400 buys a girl’s services. The service girl said ¥150 goes to the hotel and that students get discounts.

WIT has 11 schools that teach 63 subjects and majors and has more than 15,000 students. In addition, according to WIT’s official website, it has received honorary titles such as “Advanced School of Higher Education in Hubei Province in College Students’ Ideological Education,” “Hubei Honorary Unit in Integrity Construction” and “Hubei Province Advanced Unit in Self-Discipline and Integrity Construction.” (BOXUN Translation)
