Boxun has learned that on Thursday October 9, 2014, Cheng Kangming, the founder of citizens’ anti-corruption website China Justice and Anti-Corruption Net, was arrested by the Qingtian County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province police.

On August 5, 2014, Cheng Kangming reported Qingtian County land problems to a central government inspection group. On August 6, 2014, he again reported to the central government inspection group that the Qingtian County Communist Party Committee and County government were putting fake license plates on luxury cars. In response to this, an official’s driver called warning him to rescind his complaint. Cheng Kangming believed it was the central government inspection group that had revealed his complaint. He again registered complaints, on the Internet, on the central government inspection group to the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. On September 2, 2014, Cheng Kangming was taken away from his residence in Beijing by the Lishui City, Zhejiang Province police. He was then formally criminally detained on suspicion of illegal economic activity. Two other people were arrested at the same time as Cheng Kangming.
