Wang Zang’s wife and child are held in police station
Boxun has learned that on the evening of Wednesday October 8, 2014 at approximately 6 p.m., in Beijing Tongzhou District Songzhuang Village, before artists Zhui Hun, Lü Shang were detained because they supported the Hong Kong Occupy Central movement, the Songzhuang Village police had already arrested poet Wang Zang, German Die Zeit weekly newspaper Beijing-based reporter Zhang Miao, journalist Wang Lin and artists Cui Guangsha, Zhu Yanguang, Fei Xiaosheng, Ren Zhongyuan and seven other people.
Boxun has also learned that at noon Wang Zang’s wife Wang Li and child were detained in Songzhuang Village police station interrogation room. Until 8 p.m. they still hadn’t been given food. The human rights activist Yang Zili delivered food, but the police station wouldn’t let the food be delivered. Yang Zili said: “I leaned against the bars to deliver food, Wang Li wanted to come over but was dragged away by a plainclothes police officer.”
