A Boxun reporter has learned from knowledgeable sources that Beijing Fengtai District Pomegranate Garden Police Station Assistant Director Liu Hua, in a law enforcement dispute, revealed extremely bizarre news: Beijing law enforcement has issued a directive, if a person is in the street with an umbrella they should be brought to a police station and investigated. If a group of people go out with umbrellas, or wear black clothes, they must be brought to a police station for interrogation.

It’s reported that tens of people have been criminally and administratively detained for showing public support for the Hong Kong Occupy Central movement. Many have not received legal due process.
