Elders committed suicide to avoid government-ordered cremation

Anqing City of Anhui Provice announced that after June 1, 2014 all dead would be cremated. The government confiscated coffins from homes (photo below). According to XinJingBao, at least six elders committed suicide. The reason? They wanted to avoid being cremated after they die. They would rather die sooner.
