In two days, three churches were demolished in Zhejiang Province, China. On April 23, one church in Taizhou was torn down; on April 24, one church in Zhoushan and one in Wenzhou were razed.

On April 21, Yongjia, Wenzhou, the government sent police and others to demolish the church pictured below. Christians gathered to defend it.  Three days later, a few thousand Christians still stood on the site singing hymns. The church still was intact.

In China, the government requires all Christians to register and worship in the official churches. But government has not allowed any new churches to be built for decades, while the number of Christians has soared. So believers build their own churches. In the past decades, authorities have occasionally torn down churches and jailed many Christians.

The Western world has kept silent about the cruel actions of Communist China towards Chinese Christians.
