2009: Internet Censorship

The Chinese government is re-organizing online communities by storming down nearly 30% websites.

This renovation is called for ‘eliminating obscenity materials on the internet’. However, public doubts the action is directly due to political purposes as the press conference held earlier in October announcing new regulations on management toward online news reports revealed efforts the government had been paying to reduce negative impacts brought by online communication regarding the political situation in China.
