Court Gave Final Verdict on “Black Jail Rape Incident”

Beijing—Feng Tai District Court gave its final verdict on the Black Jail Rape Incident case on Friday morning.

The verdict confirmed the fact that Li Rui Rui was raped publicly in a motel room, which was used for detaining petitioners, leased by at the petition office in He Nan. However, the court did not pursue civil action against the motel.

Defendant, Xu Jian, was found guilty. He received eight years in prison and one year’s deprivation of political rights. A compensation of $2300.9 was also offered to the victim.

Li’s family said the victim is on medical treatments due to an inflammation of her private part.
