Bloody demolition in Hebei

He Bei—An illegal demolition incident happened in HeBei in June, the tragedy is revealed on Human Rights Day.

Photo:Wan Hai was stucked in this potition for 90 minutes while police keep residents from rescuing him. He died immediately.
Local residents tried to stop the destructions of their homes by barricading cranes to prevent construction equipments moving toward the area.

According from an insider, two residents were run over by a lorry causing one person died at scene and the other person suffered from severe injuries. Police has taken no rescue action but kept other citizens from saving the two victims during the intended murders.

The local government has already released individual committed the killings, which were treated as traffic accidents afterward, and promised to offer victims’s families RMB 600,000 Yuan as compensation. Government officials also made death threats against the families for ensuring the incident would not be exposed to the media.
