(Video/Photos) Dongguan Workers Protest at City Government Headquarters, Traffic Blocked

Boxun reports that on Thursday October 22, a Guangdong Province Dongguan City toy factory’s workers blocked a section of a highway in protest at the disappearance of their factory owner with more than 800,000 yuan (US$117,000) in wages in arrears. They called on the city government to intervene in compensating them. But the workers were quickly scattered by police.

They again protested on Thursday October 29, descending en massed on the Dongguan city government headquarters to protest. As of this writing the protest is continuing. There are a large number of security personnel and hired thugs present.
