Boxun reports that on the evening of Sunday September 6, in a dress rehearsal for the October 1 celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, tanks thundered down Chang’an Avenue toward Tiananmen Square. Beijing citizens could not help but be reminded of the last time they witnessed this, when in 1989 the PLA sent its tanks to clear the square of student and citizen protesters and massacred thousands.
