Boxun reports that as of Saturday August 15 it has been several days since Beijing rights defense activist Zhou Li was detained by the police and until now there has been no news of her whereabouts. According to Zhou’s relatives, they tried to take her 19-month-old child from her housekeeper’s home but the police would not allow the child to be removed. There are two policemen staked out at the housekeeper’s alleyway reception office 24 hours a day.

It is understood that there will be concrete news on Monday August 17. Zhou Li should be in the custody of the Beijing Public Security Bureau, which specific department is not clear.

In addition, Zhou’s home computer has been confiscated, indicating that her case involves her controversial Internet articles.
