Boxun reports that at 6:09 a.m. on Thursday July 30 more than 1,500 petitioners gathered at the entrance of the Ministry of Supervision requesting a permit to protest. They held banners and shouted: “Combat corruption, honor our rights” and other slogans like this.

On the evening of Wednesday July 29, a veteran petitioner called this reporter and said “Go to the Guang’anmen entrance of the Ministry of Supervision tomorrow a.m. There will be a big event happening.”
