The former security Caesar, Zhou Yongkang, and his young wife were put under house arrest on December 1st 2013.
The standing committee of Poliburo voted unanimously against him.

Exclusive report by Boxun: Li Zhanshu announced the decision to him at his living compound in ZhongNanHai. Hearing the news, Zhou collapsed to the ground and needed to be carried to his bed. Zhou is believed to have committed murder, to have planned coup d’etat, including assasination attempts on certain key state leader, and to be responsible of massive corruption cases, unprecedented in the history of the CCP. Sources say that this action against him is meant to demonstrate the determination of Xi Jinping and his new government to fight against corruption and to establish the rule of law, equally for everybody. However, Zhou Yongkang’s crime surpasses by far any human ethnical standard, and CCP rules.

Zhou and his wife, who is believed to be a complice in many of his crimes, are heavily body-guarded, under 24 hour surveillance at their house. His secretary, his personal guard and his driver were all arrested and taken away on Sunday night. The next steps in Zhou’s case shall follow the same procedure as the one against Bo Xilai: first house arrest, followed by a formal investigation report that is to be formulated and announced to the party members, and then he will face legal trial.
