According to police in Wendeng County, Shandong Province, duelling “Patriotic Youth” Hou Jusen has been administratively detained for 10 days. Others involved in the duel were given appropriate punishments.

The police reported: “Since 2013, Hou and Liang have been vilely cursing each other online. They finally arranged to meet in person to “debate.” Liang and four accomplices came to Wendeng, and via QQ text messages challenged Hou to come “debate.” At approximately 1:40 p.m., Hou Jusen and his accomplices were leaving the gate of Wendeng Normal School when they encountered Liang and began to fight.”

Netizens learned by searching online that Hou Jusen likes to use uncivilized speech on the Internet and curse people. After the “duel,” the China Communist Youth League, Shandong Communist Youth League etc. officials all expressed their support of patriotic youth, and wrote: “Hou Jusen, you’re not alone, we’re all on your side.”
