Villagers defend graveyard in Hainan, police fire warning shot
On March 19, a few hundred policemen and chengguan came to Changchong Village, Wuzhishan City, Hainan, to enforce confiscation of a graveyard. When villagers tried to stop them, policemen used force. One officer fired a gun to warn villagers, then police attacked. Many villagers were wounded and five arrested.
