Boy drowns after wandering from illegal kindergarten

On September 13, a boy from Guangzong County in Hebei Province fell into a bog after he left school by himself to go to the toilet. It wasn’t until his parents went to pick him up that the teacher realized the boy was missing.  People from the school, Small Snail kindergarten, searched all over before finding his body in the bog.

On the 20^th of September, national media quoted Tian Zhiqiang, legal security chief of the Guangzong County Education bureau, saying that Small Snail kindergarten was illegally run but had re-opened despite being ordered to suspend classes.

After the boy’s death, kindergarten owner Zhang Liu and teacher Jo Lee were taken into custody.
