[Bowen Press Exclusive] Bowen News Service has learned from a source close to high levels of the military that the newly established army general headquarters is making final preparations and will be publicized in the next few days. The first appointee as army commanding officer will be Li Zuocheng, the present commander of the Chengdu Military Region. After the military reorganization, the army general headquarters will combine with the navy and air force and be one of the three main forces. The five branches under the army general headquarters will all have the status of present military regions and be equivalent to war theaters. It will be in charge of the present 18 group armies, but the place where troops are stationed and the command center of the war theaters will be separated.

On Wednesday December 2, 2015 Bowen exclusively revealed that the Communist Party military reorganization plan has gone through a major readjustment. It was originally intended that the country would be divided into North, South, East, and West war theaters. It’s now been decided that a Central military theater will be added. It will serve to protect the center during wartime and be a reserve force for the four other military theaters. The military reform was to originally eliminate the present seven military regions and divide the nation into North, Sout, East, and West war theaters. But because of the high number of high ranking military officers this would affect, and practical national defense strategy reasons, it’s been decided that there will be added a central war theater. The new Central War Theater’s command center will be in Beijing.
