Boxun learned that on Wednesday September 23, 2015, visiting Chinese Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Lincoln High School in Seattle and encountered a protest by the students. Xi Jinping only dared to meet the Chinese students studying at the high school.

Prof. Xia Yeliang: Before arriving at Tacoma’s Lincoln High School, Vietnamese-American protesters shouted slogans at Xi.

Wang Juntao: The high school Xi Jinping chose to visit is in an area dominated by Vietnamese refugees who fled their country following the Communist takeover. These Vietnamese were there protesting since dawn.

Wang Juntao: When they learned that we were protesting against Xi Jinping, an African-American friend came with pieces of cardboard to write slogans on. Xia Yeliang explained to him Xi’s human rights abuses. He said he’d seen the news and knew that Xi is a despotic ruler. It looks like many different ethnic groups here don’t welcome Xi Jinping.

Wang Juntao: Before Xi Jinping arrived, all four sides of the main intersection were filled with protesters.

Wang Juntao: In their speech to Lincoln High School students Li Jinjin and Xia Yeliang said: “Xi Jinping is a liar. He said he admires the US’s founding fathers, but he is an enemy of human rights and democracy.”

Wang Juntao: As a result of this influence, when the Lincoln High School students were let out on recess they joined the protesters’ demonstration.

Wang Juntao: Xi Jinping awakened the political consciousness of the Lincoln High School students! These students used all the protesters tools.
