Police tear down Catholic prayer hall

On the afternoon of Friday, May 22, 2015, dozens of SWAT police entered Anzhuang Village, Humu Township, Xushui County, Baoding City, Hebei Province and forcibly demolished a Catholic prayer hall. Dozens of worshipers hurried to obstruct the police. Many worshipers were beaten by the police, with one woman’s injuries requiring hospitalization and two worshipers arrested.

An eyewitness said: “Two people were injured and taken away. Another senior citizen with a heart ailment was arrested, then released due to health fears.”
