Petitioner Li Luoxiu dies after going to village administration office. Police seize the corpse

On the morning of Wednesday March 25, 2015, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province petitioner Li Luoxiu went to Pingxiang Economic Development Zone’s Tianzhong Administrative Office but was met with violent repression and brought to the Pingxiang City hospital for emergency treatment. By the afternoon Li Luoxiu’s pupils were unresponsive, the hospital stopped giving treatment and told his family members to take him home. Li Luoxiu’s corpse was covered with purple bruises. His aggrieved and indignant family members brought the corpse to the Tianzhong Administrative Office. His son put on mourning apparel, burned paper money and incense, and gave Li Luoxiu a funeral at the Administrative Office.

On the evening of Wednesday March 25, 2015, hundreds of police were dispatched to the Pingxiang Economic Development Zone’s Tianzhong Administrative Office. After they detained all the deceased’s family members in the Tianyue Guesthouse, they confiscated the corpse.

Li Luoxiu’s house was violently demolished and all his family’s belongings were destroyed in the rubble. He began petitioning for redress and met with unceasing violent repression. He’s now been beaten to death and even his corpse has been snatched.
