Lü Jiaping, under criminal conviction of “inciting subversion,” released on bail from prison for medical treatment

Criminally convicted Mr. Lü Jiaping, due to health reasons, his family and prison authorities’ cooperation and the untiring efforts of his wide circle of blogger friends, finally on Tuesday February 17, 2015 was released from prison on medical parole.

Lü Jiaping was born in 1941. He’s a freelance writer and historian. He is the author of “Conspiracy and Struggle—President John F. Kennedy’s Assassination was caused by the Bay of Pigs Incident” and “China’s Strategic Mistakes” (US-American Cultural Publishing Company).

On December 1, 2009, Lü Jiaping wrote an article entitled: “Demand an investigation regarding Jiang Zemin’s ‘Two rapes and two falsehoods’ and political fraud problems.” It was sensitive because it dealt with former national political leaders. On August 13, 2010 he again wrote: “New evidence regarding the problem of Jiang Zemin’s false underground Communist Party members.” On May 13, 2011, he was tried by the Beijing Intermediate People’s Court for the crime of inciting subversion of state power and sentenced to ten years imprisonment and deprivation of political rights for two years.
