Editorial: Boxun is not biased in its reporting of news about government officials

Boxun always attempts to report accurately, and does not seek scandalous news about government officials. Boxun also considers the social utility of the news it publishes. Boxun’s reporting on leaders and average people is all information the public should know and has the right to know. Boxun has no favoritism toward specific officials.

To those who criticize Boxun’s reporting on China as focusing on negative news, Boxun’s response is: “This is because there is a lot of negative news in China and its human rights record should be improved.” Boxun’s reporting has always been impartial regarding specific government officials and news of the positive side of leaders and their negative side. We also have limited ability to confirm news. Boxun tries to avoid bias in its analysis and deduction of events.

Boxun welcomes news on officials and celebrities that is strongly sourced. If news from a different vantage point is well-grounded and not fabricated, we will publish the information.
