Villagers beaten and injured by 200 police

In Dongnan Village, Longjiang Street, Fuqing City, Fujian Province government and business leaders colluded to forcibly confiscate land. On the morning of Friday September 26 more than 200 police violently repressed protesting villagers. They used smoke grenades, iron clubs etc. and beat and arrested villagers, including elders and women. More than 10 were injured and hospitalized. One villager’s eye was crushed and nose was broken. He’s been transferred to Fuzhou Hospital for emergency treatment.
