Villagers violently repressed by 200 police

In Qiaogou village, Qiaogou township, Yan’an city, Sha’anxi province, an official privately sold land and corruptly kept the proceeds. The villagers protested this and were violently repressed. On Wednesday September 24 the villagers met with village head to resolve the dispute over the sale of the demolished Yan’an Primary School and its land. After the villagers went to the primary school, suddenly 200 police arrived and violently repressed them. Six people were hospitalized with injuries, two were seriously injured, more than 10 villagers were arrested.

A villager with the online name “A tiny bit of heart 2016” said: “The Petition Bureau Chief Han Shijie, Public Security director and Qiaogou Township Communist Party committee chief didn’t even hear the villagers complaints when they called in police to violently repress and arrest the protesters. Six were hospitalized with injuries, two with serious injuries, four slightly injured, many were detained and there whereabouts are unkown. As of 9 p.m. the hospital still wouldn’t treat the injured (because of the question of payment).

Another villager “Give me peace of mind: said: “Qiaogou Township emergency services, traffic police, riot police arrested more than a dozen villagers. One of the protesters had just had heart surgery, after being beated by several police he vomited blood and lost consciousness.
