More than 1,000 workers surround and hem in police while they’re beating people

At Yujing Photoelectric (Xiamen) Corporation on Friday September 19, 2014 police beat workers. More than 1,000 workers encircled them as a result. Before dawn on September 19, 2014 a Xiamen Yuguang Photoelectric worker scuffled with a police officer. This resulted in seven people being beaten by police and hospitalized. In another conflict, both sides used fire extinguishers, bricks, eggs, glass bottles etc. to figh each other. A large number of police came to break it up. This continued until 11 a.m. After the police made a collective apology the workers dispersed.

Taiwan-invested Yuguang Photoelectric Corporation was established in Xiamen City, Fujian Province in 1994. It specializes in designing and manufacturing all kinds of glass lenses, spherical surface devices, non-spherical plastic lenses and specially ordered lenses.
