(BOXUN) Celebrated columnist and scholar Zhao Chu was completely censored by the Chinese Communist regime. On Thursday September 18 he was scrubbed from the web. In addition his microblog accounts were removed at Tencent and Netease.

Zhao Chu’s most recent blogpost was an article supporting jailed fellow writer Tie Liu.

Zhao Chu announced: “Sina, Tencent and Netease all shut down my microblogs. I don’t understand, I’m a solitary old man. My article had no political, financial, or organizational background, and no ability to influence society. The analysis was also within the bounds of reason, so why have people responded so strongly? Please friends if convenient say something about this so that my fans don’t get worried.
